Default Audio noise

Can you download this file, and tell me if it makes a crackling noise on your system?
I have to know if it is my system or the MP3. It starts at about 30 seconds.

It's probably best to turn up the volume and use good heaphones.

Anybody else?
I seem to get it with many MP3's.

I also have it on some "regular" songs, like Michael Jackson - Smile.

If I disable the Enhance plugin in Winamp I get rid of most of the noise.
I have the same noise in Windows Media Player, but even worse. It helps when I disable SRS WOW in WMP.

It could be my heaphones (Sennheiser PC-150); maybe I'll do some testing later today.

yeah, i get it too. It sounds like it's coming from the low range of your song. try taking out all of the lows and see if that fixes it. then at least you know where your problem is.

Ok, so this song is broken. To see if Michael Jackson - Smile is broken as well, I will try my onboard sound later tonight.
