I'm getting some pretty bad artifacts all of a sudden in BF2. All I've done recently was OC to 2.2GHz (from 2.0). Would overclocking the CPU too far cause artifacts (even though I doubt 220MHz is too far)?

Specs:
ABit UL8 mobo
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0GHz
ATi Radeon 9600 128mb
1.5GB Kingston PC3200 (running at DDR333 speeds, about 183MHz after OC)

My CPU temps at full load are slightly under 40*C, I get about 28*C at idle.

Is this just a sign that my video card is about to eat s***, or what?

Try lowering your CPU speeds down again and see if the artifacting still appears. I don't think OCing your CPU would cause it to artifact but try lowering it again and see what happens.

I lowered it a little and changed my AGP speed to 66MHz.. hopefully that will help.

I ran prime 95 for about 12 hours with no errors. I'm at 2.15GHz right now. When I go to bed I'm gonna do 2.2GHz and run it again.
