I have a 512 mb and a 256 mb stick of ram in my computer. I have recently cleaned the heatsink on my cpu. I did chip the CPU when trying to get the heatsink off. I thought that the CPu would not work after being chiped off the edge but it did.. But my when I right click My computer it says 256 Mb but when i go into cpuz it say 768... whats going on

That has happened to me before Try switching the ram in different slots.. That worked for me.
