Unhappy 5200 problem

I recently recieved an XFX PCI 5200 for a gift

i decided to stick it in my secondary PC, as it was running on onboard graphics.

i asked on a different forum for help about disabling onboard graphics, because i couldn't find it on BIOS.

i was told that just getting rid of the drivers would do, although i now believe that was wrong.

so i put me card in and tried booting the computer, all i get is a black screen, nothing happens.

I believe it manages to boot up without the new card.

Any Suggestions? I need this fixed, thanks.

Its a crappy dell one.

But no need to worry, i sorted it, the cable connecting monitor to pc does not work anymore, i tried it on my main PC. No idea why it broke though, replaced it and everything's working.

Thanks
