Default Zalman 7000 CPU fan...

Is it compatible with the Gigabyte P35 D3SR mobo? I see that the mobo has a 4 pin header while the Zalman only has a 3 pin plug.

avoid Zalman Products... they are overpriced... an Arctic Freezer Pro 7 or Tuniq Tower 120 those are excellent and will cool ur CPU well

It's from my old rig. Can I reuse it on the gigabyte?

As long as the motherboard is socket 775, it's compatible.

When I tried to do that with tuniq and my ds3r it didnt work. I believe that header maybe doa, ill have to try the stock fan and figure that out. But now I have it in another 3 pin header which is labeled sys_fan.

I love my TT120 will never switch to any air cooling. Hope they'll make it pure copper including the grills.

What would be the advantage of having copper grills?

Copper has a higher heat capacity, than aluminum.
