| Re: Your opinions for my upcoming Computer parts [Quad Core Based] HD2900XT is faster than 8800GTS in most cases, but it is slower than 8800GTX
Any of these cards can play 99% of the games on high settings......
However, I recommend 8800GTS 320MB because it is the best value for money, and you can upgrade later to 9800 series |

| Re: Your opinions for my upcoming Computer parts [Quad Core Based] The 2900XT is a really nice card and all, but seeing as how new cards are going to come out sooner this year, spending almost 400 bucks on a new card now seems like a waste. I think it would be best if you go for a x1950xt for now, right now theres not much things an 8800GTS 320mb can do that the x1950xt can't, all with the exception of DX10.. I'd skip straight to DX10.1, I don't really trust the 8800GTS 320 giving good DX10 performance

I have had numerous video cards in my time. I started ati and then went nvidia and stayed nvidia for the next 4 cards i purchased. I finally bought a x1900xt and fell in love with it.
The card overclocks like none of my nvidia cards did, and gave me excellent performance. In the end my overclocked card beat and overclocked x1950xtx as a fairly equal comparison of overclockability. |
