smart move man | he has a reason for doing amazon. maybe he works there or has some deal or gift cards. who cares where he buys it from. we suggested newegg and he said amazon is his choice so he has his reasons....
as far as the video card you are wrong  i love nvidia but as far as overclocking the 2900 is going to go farther because it runs cooler.
