On my case:

Red/black: red = positive black = negative
Color/white: color = positive white = negative

In electrics, Color wires are always positive. Black/White are always Negitive/Neutral/Ground.

Check your motherboard's manual? It should say it, shouldn't it?

I had the same problem hooking up the wires on the Cooler Master (and I have mentioned before they have the most useless manual ever). I don't remeber which where which, i think i ended up doing a trial/error, my hdd lights didn't work at first so I flipped the connector and it worked.

He's talking about hooking wires from his case onto his motherboard. My P35 didn't say anything about color wires nor did my case manual (I guess they assumed you knew them)

All the wires for my case are labeled on the connector and the motherboard manual shows which pins they plug into. Try looking the case up online and finding a manual.
