Default Video Cards....

hay, im trying to decide which Video Card is bettr... a Radeon X1900 XT PCI Express 512MB DDR3 Video Card w/DVI-I & VIVO... or a Geforce 7900GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card .. I know that the Radeon has 512 mb , but not sure if the 7900 is bettr... let me know plz, thanks!

To the OP: Do you notice the price difference? $270 vs. $360.

That said, a 7900GT KO SC will surpass a X1900XT when you overclock it.

I'm not sure about you guys, but in my mind, not overclocking is not an option.

Simple reason - Spend $290 and get a videocard that performs better than anything else, when overclocked. Or spend $360 and not overclock and get below-the-top performance? :beard:

yeh but not everyone is confident enough to OC and also that requires better cooling, and if your isnt adequate then u hav to shell out again
and doesnt that defeat the purpose over OCing - to save money

the x1900xt is overclockable as well............

the x1900xt is WAY better.

the 7900gt is on par with the x1800xt.

no i think the 7900 is a great choice and is on par with the x1900xt but i think they charge too much for it
anyway u yanks hav got it so much better
down under we have to pay $800 AUD+ to get 7900GTX

Overclocking generally isn't for beginers though. So thats why I said, "IF".
