Question upgradeabilty --Please help

buy a E6600 now

a motherboard that will support up to quad core

so that u can upgrade to quad core in a few years

Is this good future thinking or overkill. I would like my next computer to last as long as possible before having to rebuild the hole thing

and if so what mobo would do the best job but not bust the bank.

thanks.......

In a few years, there will always be a better processor. But the e6600 will last you a long time.

Yeah programers have yet to make a big splash is duo core processers yet. I would get the best you can get now. The e6600 will last a long time though.
