Default Upgrade

Hey guys well the time has come for me to head up to college and I decided my desktop was going to need some critical updates. I have been putting this up for about 8 months now but I couldn't any longer because my rig will need some extra power for what is to come. The problem is though that I just ordered a complete AMD solution. I just couldn't imagine myself being happy with an intel setup under my rig. So I went the much less expensive route and got all the parts listed below which I will integrate into my current system. My question is how bottlenecked will my vid cards be and did I make a decent choice going with a 9850? Thnx in advanced for your replies.

Default Re: Upgrade

The Phenom 9850 runs a bit hot, and not as clockable as a Q6600 it has difficulty going to 2.7ghz on Air Cooling even though the Erratum Bug is fixed, but I would have recommended the Q6600 if you haven't already bought it.... but its not that much of a problem..

Also is your PSU up to cut to make it?

**** that sucks, but I guess I was asking for it by not doing the research I normally do. How much of a performance hit will I be taking? I plan on OCing it with my; Newegg.com - VIGOR GAMING CLT-M2A 92mm Thermal Electric CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks which I hope will be pretty good seeing as how it's not just an air based heatsink. As for my psu I hope so its a; Newegg.com - SeaSonic M12 SS-700HM ATX12V / EPS12V 700W Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CE, CB, TUV, FCC - Power Supplies. You think it'll make it, and you think I could hit 2.9ghz with that heatsink?
