Default Is there supposed to be no CPU backplate

I have a P35 DS3R motherboard and a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro and none of those packages comes with a X-shaped motherboard backplate to increase the structural integrity of the motherboard.

Would popping in the CPU and arctic cooling freezer do any harm to the motherboard?

The Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro doesn't come with a x or h plate because it doesn't need it. Its like the stock fan and it just clips on.
