Default Test Build

I'm bored and I want to see if building really is better than buying. There are some Dells for 1-1.5k and I want to see what you guys can come up with.

There are two options here:
Match build for lower price OR
better build for same price.

The price is 1-1.5k.
Here are the main parts:
Q6600,
any board (you pick)
3GB ddr2 667 or ddr2 800
250-320GB SATA2 HDD
8800gt
basic cd/dvd burner
no monitor
need o/s
USB KB and mouse of choice
Good looking case like those Dell ones

Have fun and show me the best you can do
