Default Sound Card question?

I'm using an onboard sound card at the moment. But i have an old creative labs ct4740 and was wondering if i should stick it in my new comp.

I highly doubt that ancient sound card is better than your current onboard.

But as posted above, try it out.

personally I'm a fan of getting away from onboard audio/video, frees up resources for the mobo. however, if it's that old... try out the older card. if the sound quality is good enough for you, leave it.
dude, I LOVE your username!
