Default Sold my computer, waiting for Q9450

Anyone know a definite launch date?

Also, I am going to need to start preparing a parts list, so if you would like to help me, do it in this thread also. If you can believe it I sold my computer below for $1475. So I've used it for 8 months and I'm making a profit on it.

So the situation is this: I want a Q9450 and possibly an HD 3870 X2. If that is the recommendation I want the possibility of crossfire in the future. I get Vista Business 64-bit for free through MSDN, and my price range will be between $1500 and $1700.

Thanks guys.

Nope. Just the tower.

I put it on facebook marketplace. I was asking $1475, not really motivated just seeing if I could land a buyer at that price.

I did, and she is mailing me a cashier's check.

I hadn't really looked at the Maximus Formula....but thats I nice recommendation. I heard they were overrated. Maybe not....I will have to check.

For the case I was planning on the CM Stacker 830 Evolution. I hate the NZXT cases, I don't know why people like them. I've never had a problem with Antec or Cooler Master so i am sticking with them.

HDD the Seagate 7200.11 500 GB so we're are on track there.

PSU I was thinking the 750 Watt PC Power & Cooling.

I can wait til February for the 3870 X2....but is the Q9450 really not coming out until March? That sucks....

i love my maximus formula nothing overated about it, comes with a full version of 3d mark06 which is good, and kasperky anti virus, preaty much the best antivirus you can get, aslo comes with stalker, the onboard sound is amazing the supreme fx 2 is better then an audigy 4 i tried. and ive nevr over clocked so easaly, the auto detection for your voltages actually work, i left it on auto, and it bumps it up as needed. i checked cpuz, it says im at 1.4v right now. so all you have to do for over clocking is set ram speed timings, i set my ram voltage manually tho, and your fsb speed, and you will have the over clock you need, if your idle temps are to high the mobo wont boot, as it knows its allready unstablethe highest it will boot for idle temps is 55c anything above it wont boot. i could go on and on about how great this board is all i can say is buy it and find out for yourself.
