|  SLI Support? I'm building a new gaming rig and I figured I'd get one of the new AM2/AM2+ motherboards so I'll have more options for upgrading in the future. I was looking at this board - Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-MA790FX-DS5 AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail but it says it only has crossfire support. I'm getting 2 8800gt's so will this support sli? |

| Re: SLI Support? which means you cant get a 790 mobo. as none of them support sli. you would need to get a 590 sli to have the latest am2 socket that supprts sli. unfortunately, you wouldnt be able to use the faster hypertransport of the phenom with an am2 mobo. that mobo you have picked will support one 8800gt. it will only run 2 graphic cards if the are both ATi.
