Thanks Vernong. I don't think there is any point recommending cards like the 8800gts when you can have much more power for less.

max out crysis?? lol ur definition of max out must be on 1024x768... unless your speaking of dx9 and high quality... but that is far from full quality.. heck my old 9800gx2 at 1920x1080 had its hickups on a modded high with my q6700 at 3.37 and my 9800gx2 at 700/1770/2100 or something around there... and modded high runs smoother than what dx10 offers

there is NO single card that can max out crysis in dx10 at resolutions such as 1680x1050 and 1920x1200

just pointing out some facts... though the dx10 with crysis with the gtx280 is still somewhat playable.. i think its somewhere in the 20fps average.. which is playable with its motion blur.. but i highly recommend 30 for the game

Is newegg's "Open Box" just the motherboard with nothing else, or does it just come with like the metal bracket for the ports?

it depends on what the returner sent back with it ...sometimes it has all the stuff, sometimes it's just the mobo in a box...
