Default Quad SLI Review With Dual 9800 GX2

Quote:
What do you need for Quad-SLI ? A pretty beefy system, that's for sure, here are your ingredients:

Not one but two times a GeForce 9800 GX2
nForce 680/780/790 mainboard
2 GB memory
Core to duo/quad processor - 2.67 GHz or faster.
Windows Vista fully patched and updated (SP1 recommended)
Quality 850 Watts or higher specced power supply
High resolution monitor (1920x1200 or above)
Positive thinking and a bit of luck
Games man !

According to Nivida, 40A on the 12v's combined is needed to run 1 9800gx2. Beefy psu :/

Ewww.. Better hurry on those drivers for quad sli because I'm not impressed with the performance of 2 over 1. According to this review for crysis.

ya but if you have the money to quad SLI and a monitor to make it worth it, a $200 psu isn't gonna hurt

Boy oh boy, would that ever be nice to have sitting in my computer room

Haha, I like this the most-

"Bloody ****, look at that! That's 104 FPS in 2560x1600 with 4xAA and 16xAF. Brilliant stuff."

104 frames per second at 2560x1600 with 4xAA and 16XAF. That's br00tal.
