Whats the difference between the normal Quad Core and the Extreme Quad Core?

About 800$. Other than that i'm not really sure there is that big of a difference

Which one? If you're talking about the q6600 and qx6700, then the only difference is an unlocked multiplier.

If it has an X that means it has an unlocked multi, and most likely was just a higher binned part.

is there anyway to unlock a q6600's multi? like jumpering something inside the chip like you had to do on the old Athlon XP palaminos...
