| Processor compatible ? E6420 hey, im looking to upgrade my cpu to this Intel @ ITSDirect - Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 2.13Ghz (1066FSB, 4mb cache): In Stock
And was wodering if its compatible with my motherboard .. ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
The reason i want to upgrade is because i think my intel pentium d is bottlenecking my system im only geting 6300 points using the 8800 gts 640mb's with 3dmark 06 with all of the nvidia control panel settings set to default no aa no af no sync....
the cpu gets a score of 1300 and with the latency program that comes with cpu-z . Line 1 chache 16kb 4 cycles. Line 2 chache 2mb

there could be a better processor for the money
like the e6550

| Re: Processor compatible ? E6420 Invisible, he can't get any of the new C2Ds. His motherboard only supports a 1066MHz FSB. So the E6420 is fine. Although, I don't see the E6420 on the CPU support list of that motherboard. |
