| hey, im looking to upgrade my cpu to this Intel @ ITSDirect - Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 2.13Ghz (1066FSB, 4mb cache): In Stock And was wodering if its compatible with my motherboard .. ASUSTeK Computer Inc. The reason i want to upgrade is because i think my intel pentium d is bottlenecking my system im only geting 6300 points using the 8800 gts 640mb's with 3dmark 06 with all of the nvidia control panel settings set to default no aa no af no sync.... the cpu gets a score of 1300 and with the latency program that comes with cpu-z . Line 1 chache 16kb 4 cycles. Line 2 chache 2mb 35 cycles

| you can't use the new Core 2 Duo's because they use a 1333fsb interface....u need only 800 or 1066 fsb CPU's, your limited to the whole 2 and 4 series Core 2 Duos and some of the 6 series like e6x20 e6000 and x6800 series...
