 |  Powersupply for Quad core? MY buddy asked me to build him a quad core rig, For ~800, He dosen't care intel or AMD , But i was going to take him the AMD route because of the lower price. Now, for PSU, Do i need a special PSU for Quad core? Or will a 500~600 do fine? Looking at a quad core 1 3850 1 hdd 1 cd/dvd drive and thats it. thanks, zDatk

| Re: Powersupply for Quad core? I'd still go with a q6600, its faster than the AMD even at stock. As for a PSU, don't need anything special...just a solid, stable PSU like a Corsair VX550w

| Re: Powersupply for Quad core? And if I were you, I would go with a p35, q6600, and a 8800GT, or whatever card you want. That will be better than any AMD you can put together I think
