February would be perfect for me... as I'm planning to build in April.

... though, I remember when they were scheduled to release this month... and that obviously didn't happen.

Still though... I'm hopeful!

I'll just pick up 2 from fry's the first day they go on sale and fry's prices them 50 bucks too low

FYI, i read this on hardforum a few minutes ago, and apparently the "lunar new year" is february 18th. So i'm sol as far as step up is concerned.

they should do what AMD did with their naming system...

First is the generation, the second the card family (these two are normal like b4 the new nomenclature) So the Radeon HD 3850 is the third GPU generation, 8-series, 50-variant (like a Pro).
