Hope people will look at this old thread.

Christmas time I will be getting the money to buy the parts, $1000 dollars exactly. I looked back at my list and saw that my graphics card is no longer an item; the cards an A.T.I 4890.

So knowing this will anymore of my parts be useless/out of date by the time Christmas comes? Also should I replace the card with this: Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100283L Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

the 5770 is around 4870/gtx 260 performance, while the 5870 competes with the gtx 295.

you can see here that two 5770's in xfire will (on average) give you roughly the same performance as a single 5870.

O.k then well after being asked whats the most inexpensive thing on my list I found that... I don't like the way people are reviewing my mouse.
So I ask of the good people here at the tech forums:
Whats a good gaming mouse that wont cost me an arm and a leg?

Is it possible to upgrade this wish list to an i7 instead of an i5 and keep the price reasonable? I guess this would be the CPU to get
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-202-_-Product

As far as mobos go for that CPU I dont know what Im doing but I would like at least 2 PCI-E x16 2.0 slots so I can go Crossfire soon. And something good for over clocking. Any suggestions?

It looks as though the 4890 performes a little better than the 5770 but ill still go for the 5770 for direct X11. Is it possible/recommended that I can have a 5770 and 4890 in Crossfire and still have direct X11?

Deciding to go with a full sized case instead of a mid sized case would give me what benefits besides Im guessing better air flow?

Just two cases I thought were cool, the fans they have arent going to kill my PSU are they?

Newegg.com - Microsoft N71-00007S Black 3 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Optical Wheel Mouse - Mouse

that's the mouse I use...It's cheap..and good. I've never used a real "gaming mouse" so I can't compare..but I have absolutely no complaints out of it

1) Am I allowed to have 2 different graphics cards like a 5770 and 4890 together in crossfire?

2) If I were to go with an illuminated keyboard, whats a good one? Will need one that wont hurt while typing for a long time like the one im using

3) Just realized my PSU isnt modular, anyone have any suggestions as to an offordable one thats modular and can handle an i7 system that my go into crossfire? Also needs to fit this case

I can answer your #2 there. I'd go with a Saitek II or III or one of the Logitech ones! I don't like ergonomic keyboards. The one I'm using is a Saitek III, and it works very, very nice, although it's louder than the Saitek II I used to have.
