| When I do my build I will either go with a Q6600 or penryn, either way, I will be overclocking to 3.0ghz, maybe just a tiny bit higher...I'm just having a bit of a time with an appropriate motherboard. I'm fond of the abit-p35 pro, but my budget might like something a bit cheaper. Also, I need something that will be okay with the new 8800 GT or better. Suggestions.... Also, do I really need a tuniq for my overclocking plans, or would something smaller work well? Thanks.

| You could get one of the other two Abit P35 motherboards: Newegg.com - ABIT IP35 LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail Newegg.com - ABIT IP35-E LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail Or the frequently recommended Gigabyte P35 boards: Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail As for your heatsink & fan, the Tuniq Tower is highly recommended, especially for the Q6600. You could also go with the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme, which is also highly recommended, but even more expensive. Especially since you have to buy a fan for it separately. |
