I suspect that there will be some availability problems, like with the 512MB model. This should drive down the prices of the Radeons nicely.

too bad i just got a 24" screen :/

that 3870 looks like a very good choice though. maybe xfire 2 of them...

A few frames loss (1280,1024 - my res) and its about £70 cheaper than the 512mb version. Perfect.

Only I dont even have the money to spend even the reasonable £100 price.

Interesting... I play at 1680x1050 on my 21" Dell widescreen and I thought I would need the extra memory for newer games, but this pretty much tells me 256 MB is still plenty? I don't know I buy it yet...

nice only when it gets up to 1900 resolution it starts lagging, i got a 19" moniter anyway, but i doubt it will be under $200 at that type of performance....

But when playing crysis, with 256mb, only at 3850 level, so mabye the under $200 is suitable...

wow. The 8800 GTs r doing so well, including the GTS v2s.

question, a reasonable explanation to y Nvidia is kicking ATI's butt is because of better R&D n more resources? Like Intel to AMD?
