| I would get the Intel build But get a cheaper motherboard Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TForce TP43D2A7 LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards This motherboard saves you $100, so it gives you room to buy a better single video card like 9800GTX or HD4850

| Hmm.. I hear this motherboard Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-MA78G-DS3H AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards Is good, and the graphics card is up to 8800GT standards? Might go with a whole nother setup. Though, I've been reading, and it seems those two 4870's beet two 8800's.. Am I right? |

| You know, I could do this setup for half the cost, and still be great for what I need it for. Newegg.com - AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core Processor - Processors Newegg.com - Foxconn A7GM-S AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory Newegg.com - Thermaltake W0093RU ATX 12V 2.0 Version 500W Power Supply 115/230 V UL, CUL, TUV, FCC, and CB - Power Supplies Newegg.com - XION Solaris XON-403 Black with Green LED Light Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases Sure it won't be as great as the other 2, but its probably only a couple steps behind... I could Crossfire another ATI card later on also... Last edited by White Wolf98; 07-04-2008 at 04:17 AM. |

| Alright, thanks for the replies, I came up with this from what you suggested. So if I use the motherboard maroon1 suggested, and a HD4850, and the rest of the components I came up with, it would be the best to go with? Also, I'll go with the Q6600 instead of the one maroon1 suggested. Its better right? I don't have the kind of money to crossfire 2 4850, but If I go with this, I will a bit later. Or, I could go with this setup and save about $100 Newegg.com - DFI LANPARTY DK 790FX-M2RS AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards Newegg.com - AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core Processor - Processors Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100242L Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards Newegg.com - Thermaltake W0093RU ATX 12V 2.0 Version 500W Power Supply 115/230 V UL, CUL, TUV, FCC, and CB - Power Supplies Newegg.com - XION Solaris XON-403 Black with Green LED Light Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases Heh, I have a good feeling about that setup for some reason. A better feeling than the other setups. IDK. But, I know that this is probably perfect for me. I'll probably do it. Last edited by White Wolf98; 07-05-2008 at 02:59 AM. |
