Default I am bottlenecking my GPU?

heey. i was just wondering if i am bottlenecking my X1950xt with the opteron 144 and 1GB of ram. if so, can i upgrade to an opteron 165 and 2GB of ram and solve the problem?

I don't think theres a bottleneck to be noticed. Just get 1 more gig of RAM, and overclock that 144.

is the 144 a single core opteron? if so best to upgrade to dual-core.

Oh...you're right. It is a single core. Well in that case, if you have the money, go for the Opteron 165 and 2GBs of RAM.

I would say very slightly as the X1950XT is quite powerful.

because when im playing CS:S at max settings and 1280x1024 i get 60fps most of the time but when i play zombie maps i get 20fps.. is this normal on a x1950xt?

Not normal at all, because at that resolution, you should be getting more.
