Hp notebook ram

I have a HP Pavilion zv5434 and it has 512 mb of ram, 256 of witch i have access to. that is a Hynix pc2700 stick.

Q. What to upgrade it with? Should i go with 1G? same Cas Latency?

never had to deal with "hidden" ram b4

you need to look at your motherboard's specs to see how much ram it could suppor and the maxium speed. i guess 1 gig is find and for the speed since it has 2700 why not just get 2700 also but for acurate speed refer to the mobo spec.

I found it, I can put a 1gig stick in there. total RAM:1280MB

If you're looking for a specific stick then find your lappy on www.crucial.com, they'll show you what will work with your system and it's guarenteed. Usually you can also find the ram you need and buy it from Newegg for cheaper.
