For CPU, definetly get the X2 3800. Spec-wise, the monitor looks great. I've never heard of Chimei though. Go with the MSI K8N Neo4-F if you want cheaper, good, and reliable, and the overclocking options if you decide to in the future. Good video card, case, optical drive, and HDD. I'd go for this OCZ RAM over the Corsair XMS.

You did a good job of picking out your stuff overall. Everything's compatible and you picked out a lot of great parts.

There will come a day, such a day when all will be told more than they wish to know, what one hears may explain the past, it may explain the future, but it has never made a difference either way and it will change nothing. Some day.... But that is not this day, and I don't know when, I just don't know.

I Moved From a 16 Inch CRT so this one seems alot bigger. I play Really two games, Farcry And StarTrek armada 2, IMO the games are much more enjoyable on widescreen.

Its really cool in FPS, because the screen takes up more of your vision.

i wuoldnt go widescreen, the measurments for them is from corner to corner, so obviously it would be lacking some major height. i would just stick with the regular size
