Default How to RAID 0?

My friend has 2 80 gig hdds he wants to RAID. RAID 0 is the fastest right?

If so, how do you do it?

Yes raid 0 is the way to go. As for how to do it google setting up a raid system. I am not very good at explaining things. You could also try reading the mb manual I know mine was pretty helpfull. Plus you need to make sure your mb supports raid or you need a controller card.

Im almost positive the mobo has a raid controller and the sites i found all sucked and left me with more questions than answers.

Ok on the mb cd there is raid drivers for windows you need to copy them to a floppy. The mb manual will tell you how to configure the drives. For raid 0 you want the in striping. Its real easy to setup and the manual should guide you though it. Now when you start to install windows on the bottom of the screen it will say press f6 if you need to install third party drivers hit f6 nothing will happen right away windows will keep install alittle latter It will have you spesify (sorry bad speller) so hit S. Now this is when you need the floppy you made earlier. Install it and thats it. windows will finsh installing and you have a raid 0 setup.

Sorry to turn it into a raid zero you are going to have to reinstall windows. There is no other way.
