| I was wondering if I could just pull my HD of the comp im using right now to stick in my new build, and hopefully just boot using my hard drive, and not need to buy a new OS, thus saving me couple 100.

| nope... u'll get bsods and such... its because of the board.. and the drivers that go with it.. there is a slight possibility you can do it... but thats like 1 out of 70 cases i've seen

| I see, well, is there a cheap place where I can buy Vista ultimate? or just cheapest vista
