okay, then i think you should go for the e8500 (if those arent out, then the e8400)... a 780i, 1 9800gx2, (or 2 9800gtx's if affordable), and then just some nice ddr1066, more than likely some crucial ballistix tracers.. haha jsut to show off some pretty led's

Dual-Core or Quad-Core? Which one scores and overclocks better?

No offence, but if you are going to start an "OC team" it seems like you would know a lot about the subject before diving into it...

You don't see to many racecar drivers out there that don't know what a car is :P


Anyway, I'm pretty sure dual-cores OC better. I am probably wrong though

dual cores oc better, quad cores (depending on applications) scores better

what applications will you be running.. that all depends if they're multithreaded or not

I'll have lots of applications on like benchmarking, gaming, browsing, messenger, photoshop, programming, hosting my servers, leave it on all the time for gaming, folding

when does the core 2 quad price drop start? wasnt it today?

well the xfx has free shipping. other than that, brand.
case is up to you, full tower definately. id reccomend crucial ballistix for ram. Check ste's psu list
