Default Help with my PSU!

I was wondering what kind of wattage I'm gonna need for my future overclocked comp. Here are my comps stats:

Q6600 2.4 Ghz G0 Stepping (Want to get to 3.6 possibly)
2x 8800gt 512mb Superclocked 650mhz
2x 7200rpm 500gb Hardrives
4x 1 gb PC6400 Crucial Ballistix
Nvidia 680i Motherboard
Watercooling system Pump Swiftech MCP 650
Creative Soundblaster SE
DVD+RW drive
2x 120mm fans
2x 80mm fans

I was thinking about just getting a 1000w psu, but if I don't need it then getting a 850 or something would be awesome. Oh yea, my current psu is 750w, and when i overclocked awhile back it didn't like it too much.

another person thinking that wattage counts more than Amperage on the 12v Rails, a Corsair 520hx or PC Power and Cooling 610 Silencer is all you need really, but in case you do have a better PSU right now, can you show me the link of your current one?

750 watts should be plenty for what you have. I think your problem is the way you have things connected. It is possible you have both GPU's on the same rail with other things. I would make sure you have the GPU's on seperate rails and other components divided equally between the different rails. It would also help to know what PSU you have so we knew how many rails you have, and it AMPs per rail.

I could go on for Pages.
You can't go wrong with any of the aformentioned.

The point when buying a high end power supply is to shoot high, so you can use it many builds down the road..

The corsair HX 620w would be good.

If you want a 850w+ for future upgrades, go with the PCP&P Turbocool 860w
