| Hi. I am building a gaming system and I am wondering which card is the best for me. I want to run new games at a resolution of 1680x1050 at max or near-max settings with decent frames. I am trying to decide between the following cards: 8800GTS 320MB 8800GTS 640MB ATI HD 2900 XT 512MB 8800 GTX I am leaning towards an Nvidia card but am open to suggestions. Would it be worthwhile to get the GTX? |

| The GTX is the only one that will max new games with that resolution

| the ultras like 120 more than the cheapest GTX...and performance increase is minimal... thats definitely not worth it. and SLI 2900s are gonna cost 750+. im looking for around the 400-500 price range. |

| do Crossfire 2900PROs beat out a 8800GTX? AND if they do...is it by a wide margin? Won't that limit upgradibility in the future? (for instance, instead of buying an extra GTX ill hav to scratch both 2900s and get a new card) Also, (completely off topic) I am wondering how ASUS mobos are and what is a good one i could get (from ASUS)? |
