Default help choosing video card

i have an older system athlon 64 2800 with agp, 2 gigs of value ram. i currently have a 9600 ati graphics card and i want better performance without switching over to pci-e just yet. i was looking at getting this card:

7800GS

do you guys think this would help me out any?

anybody have a similar system?

are u willing to spend that much on a video card now. how bout u get a 6600 or something and then wait until dx10 comes out and then you can upgrade to pci-e

this will probably be my last upgrade for a year and its cheaper than a new motherboard, processor, video card, and ram.
