Default Help blue screen of death!!

So this has happened twice now since i setup my dual monitors im just playing games as normal all of a sudden a message pops up saying the gpu driver has failed to respond and has recovered.And it keeps like freezing and unfreezing then bammm blue screen of death in my face whats going on???Is this going have to be the last time i use ATI cards im about ready to sell this 4870 and get a GTX260 core 216!!

take a look at this. How to troubleshoot specific STOP Errors have you unistalled your old ati drivers and reinstalled the newest?

sounds like you have a unstable overclock,exact same thing happens to me when my 8800gs core is too high clocked.

yeah, it sounds like you've got the core clocked too high (or dont have enough voltage)

lol no funny thing is all settings are at default speeds but maybe it is the driver i don't have the latest one.

sometimes the latest drivers can bug out your system... you might have go with the 8.9/10 drivers

give it a go and see what happens i guess. If it still doesnt work you've really got something to be angry about. Since i got my new 8800gs (old one fried) this one does not overclock nowhere near as good so wen im playing the driver stops responding alot.
