| Master Techie | Alright, what function do they provide? I have been able to function just well with out it. But what confuses me is that sound cards come with three or four connections, and so do motherboards with onboard sound.

| Prolly something to do with uploading all our personal information to Microsoft. They've got a deal with Sound Blaster I bet.

| well i have a play button on my DVD drive, and i can assure you, i can still play CD's without any software, and without the dedicated Cable, someone told me once that windows XP is smart enough now not to need them, i guess he was right.
