Default Hard Drive Speeds and RAID 0

I know opinions on RAID are mixed, but I'm considering upgrading to one with my Badaxe board.

I need more storage, but would also like to improve performance. What would be the fastest of:

A RAID 0 of two 7200 RPM drives
A 10K RPM SATA drive (thinking about Newegg.com - Western Digital Raptor X WD1500AHFD 150GB 10,000 RPM 16MB Cache Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - OEM )

What changes would you notice in performance from a single 7200 RPM drive with each system? There's a faint possibility of doing RAID with two of those 10K drives, but I'm not sure if that would improve performance.

Again, not asking to compare price or value, but difference in load and boot times.

The best option if you want to RAID, is with two Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 hard drives. Gives you better bang for your buck than a raptor.

The raptor will still be faster however RAID 0 of two 7200.10 drives will offer close to that while giving about 4 times more space for the money.

I would say it gives you about a 30+/- % speed up over a single drive.
