Default hard drive

i dont know if i should go with two 250gb for RAID 0 or just one 500gb. Is the performance gain worth the greater risk of losing my stuff?

What you can do, is RAID the two 250GB HDDs, and use your current hard drive as backup.

i would go with wateva is cheaper so the 500GB

Use your current hdd for os, use the 500 for everything else.
