Well, we could do this list many many different ways, however, we still have to wait for Sora (The thread Creator) to chime in..

There will come a day, such a day when all will be told more than they wish to know, what one hears may explain the past, it may explain the future, but it has never made a difference either way and it will change nothing. Some day.... But that is not this day, and I don't know when, I just don't know.

Wow, my Graphics card sucks. Well, I guess 3/4 of the way up isn't too bad, and 5.3 is a good rating, but still I thought mine was top of the line being an 8500GT.

8500gt = 7500gt (if they made it).

Basically Nvidia just put the number up to make it look flashy!

8500 gt is like about = to a 6800gs or so.

Don't worry it's not a bad card, you probably didn't pay over $60 for it

Dude there should be a thread where we also compare side to side sli and crossfiring with certain cards. By the way no hybrid cross firing because then it would get crazy.

This is turning out to be much more complex than anyone had thought when this started. The lsit dosent even begin to address price/performance and SLI/Crossfire. Indeed its a pretty ugly business. Enough to write your CS Dissertation on lol.

But the purpouse of the list was never to address price/performance. Only performance.

And this is just for single cards.

8500gt - 7300gt - 6800gs

8500gt outpeforms the later two due to its hd playback capabilities, and
ability to run the folding at home client.
