Default Graphics card Rankings

In no way Did I create this list. I found it on my favorite Overclocking site Overclock.net.

This was the final product of 38 pages of input from the entire community. The cards Go from of coarse Best to worst as it goes down the list. Keep in mind that is NOT my list or my exact beliefs but rather on average which card is better. Please don't complain to me if you think your X1950GT beats my 7900GS or whatever. I myself don't even fully agree with this list as my 7900GS overclocked beats an X1950PRO overclocked but hey these are on average.

If it were to get stickied I would do what the original list did and color the Nvidia cards in green and the ATI in red and the other few cards in different colors as well.

I think this would help a lot of people when they are looking put together a new build.

I think this ranking is incorrect.

The Geforce 2 ultra was the fastest video card at it's time, it should outperform both radeon 7200 and 7500. The Geforce 2 GTS is faster than radeon 7000.

Radeon 8500 was slightly faster than Geforece 3Ti 500 and faster than 9000pro.
There is no video cards called 8500pro and 9200pro

X1300XT and X1600Pro both have the same exact spec, so they should perform exactly the same.

6600GT should outperform 7300GT and even 6800xt

So, I think this ranking is not so reliable

First off These rankings are the best you are going to find probably. Cards perform well in different games and this is known as some games favor Nvidia over ATI so it's somewhat opinion. In general these ranks are very close though and you shouldn't be complaining. The Geforce 3 card I know nothing about so your probbaly right on that one. However I know for a fact that a 7300GT is faster than the 6600GT if they both have GDDR3. As well as the 7300GT can overclock higher than the 6600GT can.

Next The X1300XT and the X1600PRO are NOT the exact same thing. The stock clock of an X1300XT is 75mhz faster than that of the PRO.

As far as how these cards are ranked I believe it's by how well they overall benchmark and just whats considered a better card. Keep in mind this came from an Overclock forum so some of the choices may be considered becuase they can overclock so well.

I think that this list is very accurate however if you have a real argument show me proof and I will change the rankings, however most of these rankings were already debated through 38 pages so That's going to be tough as I'm sure they were put where they were for a reason.
