Question Is this a good mid-range gaming build?

Hey, this is my first build, I am not crazy about spending tons of money here, and its just mid-range. ATM I have pretty much everything sorted out, but I need help choosing compatible ram, I would only want 3gb max, because I bought Win7 32bit, due to compatibility problems.

If anyone could please help, offering possibly better options or helping me in any way, that would be great.

Also, if anyone can post a link to 2gb of compatible RAM that would be great!

My build

CASE & PSU: comes with 500W PS, very good deal.

Newegg.com - RAIDMAX SMILODON ATX-612WBP Black 1.0mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case With 500W Power Supply - Computer Cases - 79.99 (FS)

MOTHERBOARD: Very nice mobo, with 6 USB, Max RAM = 16gb

Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-MA785G-UD3H AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards - 84.99 (FS)

PROCESSOR: Quad Core, 3.4ghz

Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops - 102 (FS)

VIDEO CARD: (Runs great on Windows 7) - 174.99 (FS)
XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16

Newegg.com - XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

HARD DRIVE: 1TB

Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive - 89.99 (FS)

The total ATM without RAm is arouns 580 dollars.

This RAM should work well. Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5S-2GBPQ - Desktop Memory

Everything looks good, except for one thing; the power supply. PSUs bundles with cases tend to be very low-quality; you'd be much better off getting a PSU separate and from a more respectable brand, such as Corsair, OCZ, BFG, CoolerMaster, Thermaltake, Antec, PCP&C, Silverstone, Seasonic. I could go on

Also now I look more carefully, you say the CPU is a quad-core 3.4GHz however the link is to a dual-core 3.2GHz...

Also do you need an optical drive too?

Especially since it can run 32-bit apps.

Why would they need to change the power supply? Silverstone is known for quality PSU's, and that actual power supply is one of the best at that price on the Egg.
