Default Gigabyte DS3

Anyone know what the new rev 1.3 DS3 offers different from the previous?

Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 (rev. 1.3) LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

is it just with a new strap and updated BIOS? basically the original with a BIOS flash? its $20 cheaper.

i was wondering, because i was considering it for a new build with a e4300 but was wondering if there is any difference with oc'n abilities.

This is an older revision of the one that is more expensive. The ~$120 is rev3.3.

Yea thats a dirty little trick on neweggs part if you ask me...it makes it look like the Rev is cheaper and people who didn't ask like you would buy the older. Granted they aren't TOO much different but still.

EDIT: I thought I would acknowledge that the new boards were yes just BIOS flashed from the old ones, however I remember hearing they added better onboard sound on the new ones but egg doesn't day. I think it was RLTK 883 on the old and 888 on the new.

i know that the difference between the newer and older one is that the newer one has a bigger northbridge heatsink, and it has a plug for a northbridge fan (optional). those are the only differences that i know of.
