the price on the x48/p45 might not go down to keep that side of the market open, that way people have no choice but to upgrade to socket1366 or buy expensive socket T components.

It still shocks me that we got our x1950PROs around the same time two years ago. Only difference is I still have mine and you've been through 20 lol.

One more question: Is my current PSU still ample enough for anything I throw at it, whether it be two HD4850s or a single 4870? The PSU will also be 2 years old come this christmas. I don't run my desktop as much as most and I havent run it since I came to college this semster. How long are these things supposed to last?

OCZ fixed that with a new release according to JonnyGuru (who found the ripples in the 12v rails in the first place)
