i might be getting either the 30" dell monitor

i still need:

RAM

will a 7600gt even play bf2142 on my monitor for the time being? cuz i might get dx10 later...

and i also need RAM that is as cheap as i can get it...
is like $300 corsair xms2 or w.e. ram actually better then cheapo $200 RAM if i dont OC

im still not sure if im gonna get dx10 or not, but can someone tell me a card that will be able to play bf2142 on that high of a resolution.
also, if i dont use the highest res., will it look all messed up?

i would just get a card like a 1900xt or 79050gt and then wait a while after dx10 cards are released and the RD600 comes out and see whats what.

i have a strong feeling about the RD600

Dont get a high end 7 series card. Either get a cheap card like the 6800gs to hold you over to DX10 or just flat out wait. The 8800GTX is comming out Nov. 7th and is more than twice as powerful as the 7900GTX. And thats just in DX9 mode!

i dont think that the g80 will be twice as powerful, plus you have to go vista for it to run in dx10 which will cost you another 200+ which i thnk is a waste of money

for as many watts it has to consume.. i wouldnt doubt its going to be a really powerful card.. not only that, its got its own physics instructions and memory for it as well.... there goes physx cards.... and its far surpassed the 256-bit we use.... i can't wait to see just what this card can do

uh..why would it be in that other forum? this is for gaming...which is pretty high performance... i have like about $1,500 to spend.. but if DX10 is actually coming out november 7th im really wanna go for that..how much will it cost? cuz i might be able to extend my budget..

uh well i dont want to get vista too..uhg well i hear the 7900gto is nice...but its outta stock..if its outta stock when i get my comp..wats a good backup card? *im not gonna get dx10 anytime soon*
