I am building a Dual Xeon Dual-core server that requires a fax modem or two of them. My questions is the server board only has 2 PCI express 16, 2 PCI express 8 and 2 PCI-x slots. My question is are there any fax modems that will use PCI express 8 or 16 since i have a RAID controller using of a the PCI-X slots or is there a single PCI-x fax modem that will do the work of two cards? This fax modem should also be capable with the gfi software from gfi.com. Thank you for all your help, even the slights input will be helpful.
