| Computer Build, any objections? I've been looking at building a decent gaming computer, but for around 500 bucks, this is what I've come up with so far. Is there anything i should do different or an item that wouldn't be recommended?
Here it is:

PCU Cooler: Thermaltake TR2-R1 AMD Socket AM2939754 Aluminum 92mm Fan CPU Cooler A4022 at TigerDirect.com
MB: Asus M4N78 PRO Motherboard - Socket AM2+, Geforce 8300, ATX, HDMI, SATA, Gbit LAN, Hybrid SLI at TigerDirect.com
Video Card: XFX GeForce 8800 GT Video Card - Alpha Dog Edition, 512MB DDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV, HDCP, Recertified RB-PVT88PYDF at TigerDirect.com
RAM: Kingston 2048MB PC5400 DDR2 667MHz Memory KVR667D22GR at TigerDirect.com
PSU: DiabloTek PHD550 550-Watt Power Supply - ATX, SATA Ready, PCIe Ready, 20+4 Pin at TigerDirect.com
DVD Burner: Lite-On IHAS324 Internal DVD Writer - 24X, SATA IHAS324-08 at TigerDirect.com
Comp Case: Apevia BlackBlack X-Plorer ATX Mid-Tower Case with Clear Side, Fan Controller, Front USB and Firewire Port ATXB8KLW-BK at TigerDirect.com

| Re: Computer Build, any objections? First off, is there a reason you are using Tiger Direct? Newegg would be loads better.
That being said, there's quite a few things we could do to optimize this build. Give me a few minutes to get something together.
What's your final budget?

| Re: Computer Build, any objections? Also, your build was missing a HDD, do you have one or are you needing one?

| Re: Computer Build, any objections? ^^^ Yes, do you have any parts you can recycle, like out of another computer? A hard drive, an optical drive, a ATX case...? |

| Re: Computer Build, any objections? Alright, I got you a much better build for your buck. Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! Newegg.com - Foxconn A7GM-S 2.0 AM2+ / AM3 Ready AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-1150-TR GeForce GTS 250 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives Newegg.com - Thermaltake Purepower W0100RU 500W ATX 12V 2.0 Power Supply - Power Supplies Newegg.com - APEVIA X-Plorer ATXB8KLW-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases Newegg.com - Sony Optiarc Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA DVD/CD Rewritable Drive - CD / DVD Burners
This all comes to $586.52 after shipping, then you get 35 bucks back in rebates, making it just over $550.
Now, there can be some tweaking to this build, no problem. It's tentative. But I got you a triple core processor, 4gb of RAM and generally better parts overall.
Kudos to your case pick, by the way. Used to be one of my favorite cases. I know people around here don't like Aspire/Apevia, but I've used that case before in builds and it's really made well, and it's not TOO flashy.
