Default Best non SLI mobo

so I'm thinking I won't SLI, since I never really liked SLI in the first place ( not much performance gain and a lot more added heat and energy usage, but I did consider getting another 8800 gtx 2 years down the road when its a lot cheaper ). So since SLI is out, I guess I wont go for the nforce mobos anymore, but I'm not sure I want to go for the dsr3s either, since they seem like a budget mobo ( although good ). Can anyone recommend any higher class non-SLIs mobos?

The Gigabyte P35-DS3R in particular, is a great choice for non-SLI.

Theres also the MSI P35 Platinum, which is also a monster overclocker. It's non-SLI, but has two PCIe slots. Only supports Crossfire though. All the P35s do.

No...the P35 is a motherboard chipset. The DS3R is the P35 motherboard from Gigabyte.
