I really like this graphics card and it seems to be one of the best for performance vs price.

Graphics card

BFG Tech BFGE88512GTSE GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

Newegg.com - BFG Tech BFGE88512GTSE GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

Price: $269.99 - Rebate availaible

GTX is only about 15-20% better than the GTS and the ULTRA is only 15-20% better than the GTX

Hope this helps

When buying graphics cards, what are the main specs to look at?

specs = trash

because the if we based things on specs, than the hd 3870 > 8800Ultra, and thats not true, what you should do to make your decision is look at benchmarks

Thanks for your replays. I think it will be between the ATI 3870 and the EVGA 8800 GT. Still need to decide.

Go for the 8800GT 512mb if you can, otherwise I guarantee you won't be disappointed with the 3870

Once again thanks for your posts. I bought the 8800GT 515mb off of Newegg today. Hopefully this will keep me in the game for a little while.
