| Re: Best card for ~100 AND best CPU for ~70 ok, thanks a ton. As far as the CPUs, is the Brisbane better than the Windsor? The 4200+ windsor is $8 more.
I'm assuming that AMD kills Intel in that price range, so i'm debating between the 4000+ brisbane and the 4200+ windsor. How's the overclocking on those?

| Re: Best card for ~100 AND best CPU for ~70 The Brisbanes are not necessarily better than the Windsors, but I think they consume less power and run cooler, due to their smaller fabrication process. It should overclock as well as the 4200+. |

Remember that the drivers used in AnandTech were old. Yet 8600GT outperformed ْ1950GT in some cases
8600GT overclocks much better than X1900GT as well. If you overclock 8600GT it would smoke X1900GT and it would even beat X1950pro

| Re: Best card for ~100 AND best CPU for ~70 i don't think i'll overclock, so i'm still looking at the x1900gt right now. 8600gt still looks good, i'm not gonna lie.

Please read this | Wow never knew 8600GT was could do that. Maybe it deserves more credit than it gets. But it is worth remembering that not all chips OC to the same degree and he could have had a lucky one. |

| Re: Best card for ~100 AND best CPU for ~70 The 8600GT does overclock very well however the original X1900GT Rev.1 overclocks like a beast as well check this thread since you like overclock.net as me. ATi X1900GT overclocking & cooling - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net
The Rev.2 overclocks horribly but that card on newegg the specs are Rev.1
This is why the X1900GT Rev.1 is better.
